Arsene Wenger has said he will definitely be a manager next season, whether at Arsenal or “somewhere else”.

The 67 year old Frenchman made this comment at the end of what has been possibly one of his most difficult spells as Arsenal’s manager.

The hammering in the Champions League by Bayern led to many Arsenal fans calling for Wenger to leave the club but he still has a two year contract offer on the table if he wants to remain at the Emirates.

Wenger said, “What is important is that the club makes the right decision for the future. I care about this club and its future and it is very important the club is in safe hands.”

Arsenal fans seem sick of seeing the same thing happen every season and think now is the time to move on. One fan commented about how Arsenal are “stuck in the past” and need a “youthful, forward-thinking manager in charge” of the club.

Recently, rumours have been that Atletico Madrid’s charismatic manager Diego Simeone is interested in succeeding Wenger, but with his style being defend deep and then counter attack, one can question whether his style of play will suit Arsenal.

One thing for sure, if Wenger does leave at the end of the season, he will leave as an Arsenal hero.

Arsenal fans, what are your thoughts? Is it time for Wenger to go?
